William Myers and Frame Conservation Program at Smith College

by on February 7, 2012

WHOZA SEZ – We went to the Smith College Art Museum to see Mr. Myers’ work of building and restoring painting frames. His work was very intricate. Some of the frames had extremely complicated patterns and took a ton of effort to restore or even replicate. Some of his work involved ‘fly specs,’ or flicking fly feces on the frame to give it that older look.
